1. Who we are

MudOut is operated by [LEGAL COMPANY NAME] (company number [COMPANY NO]), registered in England and Wales with its registered office at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. “MudOut” may be used as a trading name.

Contact: [[email protected]] • Website: mudout.co.uk

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By using our website, joining our waitlist, or using a MudOut station, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or stations.

3. Eligibility and supervision

  • You must be at least 18 years old to start a paid session.
  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times around the station.
  • You must remain present with your dog throughout the session.

4. Using a MudOut station

Stations are owner-operated (“self-service”). Typical use is: tap-to-pay → wash/rinse/condition → dry → finish and leave the station tidy for the next user.

4.1 Instructions

Always follow the on-station instructions. If there is a conflict between on-station instructions and these Terms, the on-station instructions take priority for safe operation.

4.2 Time-based sessions

Sessions are time-based. You may be able to add time during the session (where enabled). If time runs out, the station may stop automatically.

5. Dog safety and your responsibilities

You are responsible for your dog’s behaviour, handling, and safety during use. Use is at your own risk. Do not use the station if your dog is aggressive, highly anxious, or likely to bite.

5.1 Health conditions

  • Do not use on dogs with open wounds, severe skin conditions, or post-surgery restrictions unless advised by a vet.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and nose. If irritation occurs, stop and rinse with clean water.
  • If you suspect fleas/ticks or any illness, consider veterinary advice. Rinse options (where available) are not a substitute for veterinary treatment.

5.2 Temperature and dryer safety

  • Check water temperature before prolonged rinsing.
  • Use dryer settings sensibly and keep airflow moving; stop if your dog shows distress or overheating.

6. Prohibited use

You must not:

  • Wash anything other than dogs (no shoes, prams, bikes, clothing, etc.).
  • Bring hazardous substances, solvents, bleach, or non-approved chemicals onto the station.
  • Block drains, tamper with filters, bypass safety features, or open panels/cabinets.
  • Use the station in a way that creates a hazard (excess water outside the wash area, slipping hazards, leaving items behind).
  • Harass others, misuse the area, or breach local park/venue rules.

7. Pricing, payment and top-ups

Prices and session lengths are displayed on the station and/or at mudout.co.uk and may vary by location.

  • Payment methods may include contactless card and/or mobile wallet.
  • Where enabled, you can add time during the session (“top-up”).
  • All payments are processed through our payment provider(s). We do not store full card details.

8. Faults, refunds and service interruptions

Stations may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, connectivity, extreme weather, or partner/landowner restrictions.

8.1 If something goes wrong during a paid session

If the station fails to deliver the paid service (e.g., no water, controls not responding), contact support with the location, date/time, and (if available) a transaction reference. We will assess and, where appropriate, issue a refund or credit in line with your statutory rights.

8.2 No refund scenarios

We may refuse refunds where the issue was caused by misuse, failure to follow instructions, intentional damage, or where the station operated as described.

9. Cleanliness and hygiene

  • Please remove excessive hair/mud from the immediate area if bins/filters are provided.
  • Do not leave litter, towels, or dog waste at or near the station.
  • If your dog soils the area, clean as instructed or contact support (where a cleaning call-out may be required).

10. Wastewater and environmental rules

Our stations are designed to manage wash water responsibly. In London, dog-wash wastewater may be treated as trade effluent and must not be discharged to surface water drains; discharges to foul/combined sewer may require consent via the relevant wastewater processes. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}

  • Do not pour any additional liquids into the station (e.g., oils, detergents, bleach, paint, chemicals).
  • Do not dispose of dog waste into the station or drains.
  • Report any suspected drainage issues to support immediately.

11. Damage, misuse and vandalism

You are responsible for any loss or damage you cause to the station or surrounding property. We may recover repair/cleaning costs, call-out fees, and associated losses where reasonably evidenced.

If you witness vandalism or unsafe behaviour, do not intervene—move to safety and contact the venue/park security (if present) and/or the police where appropriate, then notify us.

12. Locations, partners and park rules

MudOut stations may be installed at parks, car parks, cafés, retail sites, or other partner locations. Each location may have its own rules (opening hours, dogs on leads, behaviour standards).

  • You must comply with posted site rules and any reasonable instructions from park/venue staff.
  • Availability may change (temporary closures, seasonal operation, or relocation).

13. Website use and intellectual property

All content on mudout.co.uk (including logos, illustrations, icons, copy, and designs) is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may view and print pages for personal use only. You must not copy, reproduce, or use our branding commercially without written permission.

14. Waitlist / “Be first to know” sign-ups

If you join our waitlist, we’ll use your details to notify you about new locations, launch updates, and service availability.

  • Waitlist sign-up does not guarantee a station at a specific park or a specific launch date.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails.

15. Privacy and CCTV

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. Some locations may use CCTV for safety and security; CCTV use may require appropriate registration and compliance with UK data protection requirements. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}

Please read our Privacy Policy for full details (link to your site page).

16. Liability and consumer rights

16.1 Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

16.2 Our liability to you

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses (loss of profit, business interruption, etc.). We are not responsible for how you handle your dog, or for incidents caused by your dog’s behaviour.

16.3 Your responsibility

You agree to use the station responsibly and in line with instructions. If your misuse causes damage, injury, or third-party claims, you may be responsible for resulting costs.

17. Complaints and contact

If you have a question, complaint, or refund request, contact us with:

  • Station location (park/venue name)
  • Date and time of use
  • Issue description (and photos if helpful)
  • Transaction reference (if available)

Email: [[email protected]]

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your usual country of residence apply.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, our services, stations, pricing, or operational requirements. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly.

Implementation notes: Replace placeholders in [SQUARE BRACKETS]. Add links to your Privacy Policy and any station-specific policy pages (e.g., Refund Policy, Accessibility, Partner Enquiries).
